Once you’ve found a new real estate property to move to, and maybe even booked decent NYC movers, it’s time to clean the place you live in for the move-out. It’s no secret that leaving the place clean when you leave it is the only way to get your security deposit back. Make the landlord satisfied with what he or she sees during the inspection. Have a look at our move-out cleaning tips.
Make It Spotless
If you have put some staples or nails into the walls, remove them and fill the holes. Maybe walls need a fresh coat of paint in case there are some spots on them? Talking about move-out cleaning tips, we should say that all the walls, floors, and windows should be impeccably clean. Sweep and mop the floors, wash the windows, and clean the walls using the magic eraser. All the mirrors should be looking brand new as well. There are lots of all-purpose cleaners to use during the major cleaning process.
Inspect Every Room
Going room by room, make sure everything is left in the same condition as when you moved in. Empty the fridge and wash all of its shelves and drawers. Empty all the cabinets and dust them. Clean the sink and wipe it down not to leave any water marks on it. All the surfaces should be sparkling, so you have lots of work ahead.
Let’s move on to the next room and talk about the bathroom. Clean the toilet, sink, and shower. Make sure all the light bulbs are working. When cleaning the bedroom and living room if there is one, follow all the above-mentioned rules.
Once the job is done, inspect every square foot one more time and make sure everything is as clean as it should be. Our move-out cleaning tips will help you get your security deposit back!
