It seems everyone is keen on placing their TVs above their fireplace mantel ever since the invention of flatscreens. The combination of fire and tech is not always a good idea, but if you are also thinking about this plan, consider these suggestions:
Get a TV mount that can be tilted
Most do not realise how high up the TV would be once it is mounted and it could be above the recommended eye-level which could create a not so pleasing TV time for you. Placing a TV mount with tilting capability will allow you to tilt the screen a bit downward and place it back to its original position once the TV is not in use. Continue reading
