Moving is supposed to be a happy occasion, isn’t it? You may be moving into your dream home or maybe relocating to work at your dream job. The fact is it seldom turns out to be that way. No matter how exciting the reason of moving houses is for you, the actual process of moving can be anything but. Packing your boxes, looking for new furniture, getting rid of stuff you no longer need can all turn out to be a bit of an anxiety ridden process.
A recent study has shown that almost 61% (close to two in three) adults believe that moving houses can be inherently more stressful than a relationship breakdown, or a change of job.
As humans, we are very territorial and moving from a known place to a new location can cause anxiety because of the change in comfort, routines and order. However, a much-underestimated aspect of this newfound anxiety and stress can be unaccounted moving costs.
