Some of us really like to delve headfirst into our seasons and festivals; if you’re the type to drape bunting around your kitchen in the summer and post little yellow chicks in every nook and cranny during Easter, then it’s likely you’ll also be the one collecting pine cones and conkers for Autumn! Foods of course change due to their seasonal availability (although in the UK we’re pretty good at importing these goods from elsewhere) and our tastes change due to the climate – our bodies crave more sugary comforting foods when the weather gets colder. Fashions change massively during this period too, replacing our lightweight pastel fabrics with heavy knits in luxurious gemstone shades.
